You can download the GPS information diagnostic utility from their website. From a cold start within 1 minute it can track up to 9 satellites within 2 minutes. From a warm start it will take only one second!
This device is really efficient and by the time you boot up your computer, you will have a solid fix. As long as it isn't mounted directly to the laptop, the signal strength is excellent. Some technical aspects of this receiver are that its USB interface works with windows and Mac Sirf III chipset. It is NMEA standard compatible with most map software including Microsoft’s Streets and Trips, Delorme and TomTom. |
