When I was very young, my great grandfather took me fishing on the Daugava River near our home in Riga. He told me we would be fishing for a rare breed of fish called the Gefilte. My memories are bittersweet because we never managed to catch this rare, obscure fish. It eluded us for years. If only we had the Garmin Fishfinder 140. Perhaps (then) my boyhood memories of the two of sitting with our poles on the river bank would have been more meaningful. The Fishfinder uses sonar waves to detect fish in the water. Sonar is a projected Sound wave in the water, often used by submarines to detect topographical anomalies and sunken ships. The Fishfinder 140 helps increase the probability of catching fish. Thus, its called the Fishfinder
